Cerakote is a branded thin-film ceramic coating. It goes on much thinner than powder coat and is built to stand up to high temperatures, wear and chemicals.
Because it is so thin, it is the right choice where tolerances matter or where a part gets hot: exhaust systems, manifolds and heat shields, engine parts, and precision components where a thick coating would get in the way. It also comes in a wide range of colours, so it looks as good as it performs.
On exhausts and heat shields it also holds its colour far better than ordinary paint once things get hot. As with everything we do, every part is prepared and coated by hand in our own unit, not on a production line.
Cerakote is much thinner and handles far higher temperatures, so it suits exhausts, engine parts and anything with tight tolerances. Powder coating is thicker and better suited to general parts, frames and wheels.
